He graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Geography with additional concentrations in Environmental Studies and Earth Science and volunteers in Elgin. He currently works for the State of Illinois in economic development and serves on several economic development
Joe is a US Army Infantry veteran. He graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Geography with additional concentrations in Environmental Studies and Earth Science and volunteers in Elgin. He currently works for the State of Illinois in economic development and serves on several economic development committees throughout the State. Joe dedicated his time with the Hanover Township Emergency Services as a volunteer.

Born into an immigrant family. He understands the need for equitable programs in Elgin, IL. The community where he volunteers most of his free time.

Jose is a first generation American. He was born in Texas and graduated from Larkin High School. He attended vocational classes after graduating where he earned a Commercial Driver’s License. He studied computer science through his trucking career and earned various professional certifications. He currently works as a Sr. Analyst for a national healthcare organization. He has volunteered in various capacities including being a hospice volunteer, mentoring at risk teens, and dedicating his time to emergency management and preparation. Jose believes that the best way to serve the community is to engage it directly one on one to build relationships with our neighbors.

Amy, a 2005 graduate from Morrison Institute of Technology with an Associates in Engineering Technology, brings experience as electrical engineer in fossil fuel and power plants. Now, she passionately dedicates herself to shaping young minds by curating culturally relevant materials as a librarian for School District U-46.
